From the city, take the A8 Glasgow-Edinburgh Road to reach the airport. From other locations, the M9 connects directly to the A8 and is one of the main motorways in the country. The M8 and M90 connect close to the M9/A8 junction, too.

Bus 

There are local and regional buses to Edinburgh Airport to ensure you reach the terminal on time. Edinburgh buses include the Airlink 100, Skylink 200 and 400 services, and the Airport Express. Buses are also available to and from Glasgow, Fife, Dundee, Stirling, Aberdeen, and more.

Tram or train

To avoid driving completely, trains are a great way to reach the city, with Edinburgh Gateway, Edinburgh Park, Haymarket, and Waverley all good stations to arrive at. Buses are available to continue your journey, but trams are easier.

Free pick-up and drop-off zone

The pick-up and drop-off zones are close to the terminal for convenience, but you will have to pay to use them. There is a free pick-up and drop-off option in the Long Stay car park, where you can get up to 30 minutes free parking. This is a 10-minute walk to the terminal, but the most cost-effective option.
